Born in Los Angeles, Sarah Miles began her career as a classical dancer, where she studied with Stanley Holden and finished her training at the Royal Ballet School in London. She was later contracted with the Paris Opera Ballet and the Lyon Opera Ballet.
Upon returning to America, Sarah danced and choreographed numerous major films, television shows, commercials, and music videos, ranging from street dance to classical. Eventually, her talent as a dancer/singer landed her in New York and on Broadway.
Sarah has worked on over 30 theatrical productions worldwide, such as "The Sound of Music," "How to Succeed in Business," "Carmen," "Tommy," "Victor/Victoria," Westside Story," "Chess," "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to The Forum," "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," "Company," "Hello Dolly," and many more. While still working as a performer, Sarah was Assistant/Associate Choreographer on several Broadway shows to Tony Award winners Rob Marshall and Wayne Cilento. During this time, she began writing Musicals and lyrics and had a publishing contract with Virgin Music for her pop songs.
Sarah choreographed "Saturday Night Fever," "Valentino," and "The Famed" in Holland. "Soldaat van Oranje/Soldier of Orange" is a wartime musical in Scene Around that has played for over thirteen years and is still sold out. She also choreographed "Anne," the diary stories of Anne Frank, which were presented in a full-scale three-story set of the Secret Annex.
As a writer, Sarah has had two of her musicals produced, "Carmen," which premiered at La Jolla Playhouse, and "Sky," an original story in 3D that premiered in Theater Amsterdam. She also wrote, directed, and choreographed an award-winning Magic show, "Sittah Revealed."
Sarah is currently writing the book and lyrics for two new musicals with composer Cecilia Lin and completing her first musical as a composer, lyricist, and writer.
