Sebia Plantefève-Castryck is a member of the Dutch National Ballet's corps de ballet and has previously danced with the Dutch National Junior Company.

Her journey as a professional ballet dancer is a testament to her exceptional trajectory. At the age of four, she was adopted from Adama, Ethiopia, and embraced by a Belgian family in the village of Kester. Her early exposure to dance with her adoptive sisters ignited her fervor for ballet, laying the foundation for her future success.

Commencing her formal training at Ballerino Dance School in Halle at six, Sebia's prodigious talent and unwavering commitment led her to the esteemed Youth America Grand Prix by age ten. Subsequently, at thirteen, she gained admission to the illustrious Tanz Akademie Zürich in Switzerland, refining her aptitude and artistry.

Following her tenure at Tanz Akademie Zürich, Sebia pursued supplementary training at the distinguished European School of Ballet in Amsterdam. She captivated audiences with her artistry and finesse at galas in Italy and Germany during this period.

In 2019, Sebia achieved a significant milestone in her career when she joined the Dutch National Ballet's Junior Company. Her transition to the main company as an élève two years later was another noteworthy achievement. Since 2022, Sebia has been a distinguished member of the corps de ballet, enchanting audiences with her performances.
